Kyle Matthew Hamilton began skateboarding over 25 years ago after being influenced by the protagonist ‘Marty McFly’ in the hit movie Back to the Future. Other cultural influences further enhanced his admiration for skating over the years and with consistent practice, his determination of progression eventually led him down the road to represent New York City’s SHUT Skateboards (shutnyc.com) as their first professional freestyle rider.

Having studied theater and acting at Indiana University and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, he is also an accomplished actor/musician whose talents have led to opportunities performing internationally with established music acts such as One Direction, David Archuleta, Kristinia DeBarge, David Osmond, and Cali Swag District. Samples of theatre and film acting work includes Pasek and Paul’s Los Angeles stage premiere of Edges: A Song Cycle, portraying the body and voice of Scooby-Doo (cover) in the international stage tour of Scooby-Doo: The Mystery of the Pyramid, Nickelodeon’s hit sitcom iCarly, and the upcoming indie award-winning feature film Kensho at the Bedfellow. Both Kyle and Rob Rodrigues are also the official skateboard consultants for Nickelodeon’s Broadway-bound production of The SpongeBob Musical. Kyle is a passionate teacher of skating and admires the tenacious determination of any student willing to push their own boundaries to succeed.
